1/8 oz. jighead with black orange chartreuse tube skirt
Fishing Rods
5 ft and 10 ft ultralight. Nothing expensive, so when I break one I just go get another and still have money for gas in the boat.
Fishing Reels
I really like the Pflueger line of reels with 4 lb test. Spooled with Fireline.
Fishing Techniques
Love vertical jigging the trees and stumps for crappie. A buddy of mine has invented his own bobbers that are extremely sensitive to the crappie peck. We call it the Donco Bobber. Its taken my fishing to a whole other level.

Another Good Day At The Lake

Fishing the stumps in a cove on the Tebo Arm of Truman Lake. 3 of us had our limits in less than 2hrs. Freezing cold, aroun d 15 degrees. But the fish were biting good. White and char skirts were the best. Fish were biting the jigs on the fall about 10 to 12' deep.

Opening Day of Snaggn Season

Took my wife and son on opening day down on the osage arm. Around the Old Oarhouse area. Snagged most of the day but still found time to catch one limit of crappie.

First One Of THe New Year

Pretty cold morning of the 7th of Jan. Me and two buddies couldn't resist being on the water. Our wifes say that we have lost our minds. We did have to break about a half in. of ice to launch my boat, but we made it to our spot and what a day in turned out to be. We were back home by 11am.
