Comment: agreed. I tend to wait until I see what I can make out as the head of the bass go completely underwater. At this point the fish either has it or doesn't. Topwater's too exciting to be counting fingers before a hook set!

Comment: What are you using for line rod and reel with the frog? You need heavy gear. The frogs have heavy hooks that you really need to drive into the fishes mouth.

tip of advice for using frogs! wait 3-5 seconds . wait till you feel the weight of the fish! THEN SET THE HOOK!!!!!
