I have a chance to buy a 1955 Sea King 22 hp outboard. it runs perfect. The guy ran it in a tank and put it through it's paces. he hasn't had the impeller changed since he has had it (quite a while) and doesn't know when it last was changed. He told me that the motor is an OMC made Sea King but I am skeptical. Does anyone know if OMC manufactured the Sea King in "55" Also he told me The OMC made Sea Kings would parts interchange with Johnson/Evinrude Does anyone know if this is factual? I really like this old motor and like to take it on as a restore project as long as I can get parts for it. I will appreciate any info anyone can give. Thanks and God Bless. Dave  |
